Participate Community

Participate Community

Assistance with Social and Community Participation is a funded support category that can be found in your NDIS plan under Core Supports. This money covers the assistance that NDIS participants require to achieve their goals of participating in the community, social, and recreational activities.

People in a community can be involved in projects to solve their problems, which is a loose definition of community engagement. People should be allowed to ‘participate’ in projects that influence their lives rather than being forced to do so.

Daily Routines (e.g., assistance with self-care activities during the day or evening) Assisting with Social and Community Involvement (e.g., supports to enable you to engage in social or recreational activities) Transportation (e.g., if you are unable to use public transport because of your disability).

According to the findings, community participation is critical because it raises knowledge among stakeholders about how funds are spent and allows them to make decisions about their own well-being. When communities participate, the leaders’ transparency and responsibility rise, resulting in initiatives that meet quality requirements.
